Grain Craft Announces New VP of Quality, Regulatory and Technical Services

CHATTANOOGA, Tn. – July 22, 2019 – Grain Craft announces that Nick Weigel has joined the company as Vice President of Quality, Regulatory and Technical Services. Weigel will report to Pete Frederick, President of Grain Craft, and will be a member of the company’s Executive Leadership Team.

In this new position, Weigel will oversee Grain Craft’s strategic direction for quality programs to ensure continued compliance and excellence with food safety regulations and new legislation. In addition, he will identify and implement best practices to enhance product development and quality assurance efforts. Weigel will also lead the technical services team to support customer needs with product, process and service solutions.

“Nick brings over 25 years of experience to Grain Craft. His expertise will provide Grain Craft’s customers with technical guidance and his knowledge of quality systems will allow us to continue building upon our Core Values of Excellence and Safe People & Products,” said Frederick.

Weigel has a Bachelor of Science degree in Baking Science and Management from Kansas State University and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Texas, Arlington. He has also received a Baking Science and Technology Certification from AIB International.

Weigel has been involved with many organizations including NAMA, AACCI and the Wheat Quality Council. Additionally, Nick has served as a board member for AIB International and the Kansas Wheat Research Foundation.

He will reside in Kansas City and will be based at the Grain Craft Overland Park office.
